In the gripping finale of the third season, the CSIs face a deeply personal challenge that intertwines their professional and private lives. During a bold daytime robbery, three masked thieves make off with a safe-deposit box from a Las Vegas bank, resulting in the tragic death of Detective Lockwood. This loss drives Grissom and his team to intensify their pursuit of the killers. The investigation becomes particularly poignant for Catherine when clues point to Sam Braun, a casino owner who has been a father figure to her. Meanwhile, Grissom struggles with worsening hearing issues and turns to Dr. Robbins for assistance.
