At the racetrack, the Stunt Car Spectacular delivers promises of "action and thrills." Two competitors make an attempt to launch off a ramp and soar over a pile of cars, but they crash. Daredevil Snake Oiler, part of the Car Acrobatic Team, encourages Speed to give it a shot. Instead, Speed throws down the gauntlet, challenging Snake to the Big Alpine Race. Later, Speed and Pops navigate a tricky part of the course where drivers must leap over a treacherous chasm, avoiding the river 1,000 feet below.
