The dinner unfolds uncomfortably, with Audrey and Dawson fretting over Joey's reaction, yet surprisingly, she appears unfazed. Charlie's unexpected arrival stirs up jealousy in Dawson. Ultimately, the friends come to the realization that preserving their long-standing bonds is more valuable than a weekly meal, as Joey opens up to Pacey about her true feelings regarding the Dawson-Jen situation.
