After Claude's new stylish jacket gets soaked in the rain due to a stolen umbrella, she unexpectedly encounters the thief upon returning to her building. The confrontation reveals him to be Ted Elliot, the new executive producer. With her career hanging in the balance, Claude decides to assert her principles, despite Ted's abrasive demeanor towards everyone. Impressed by her stand, Ted offers her a position as his assistant, presenting Claude with a tough choice: remain loyal to her cherished boss, Will Butler, or pursue a potentially brighter future with Ted.
