A Village in England - July, 2089 A.D. (S01E01)

The tale opens with Jack's capping, a pivotal moment for one of Will Parker's friends. Set in a community reminiscent of the 1800s, where machines and electrical devices are absent but Tripods roam freely, the atmosphere is unique. As they prepare for Jack's capping, Will and Henry take food to the vagrants, individuals who have suffered unsuccessful cappings. Among them is Ozymandias, who shares with Will the hidden truth about the White Mountains, a place where men live unfettered. After Jack is capped and returns to the village with a controlled mind, Will and Henry embark on their journey to the White Mountains.
