Eloise is captured and taken to participate in a tournament for the Tripods. Heartbroken, Will decides to abandon her and heads out to reunite with Henry and Beanpole. However, he soon falls into the hands of the Tripods once more. Surprisingly, they release him with the intent of allowing him to search for his friends, leaving him puzzled about their motives.
