When Robert expresses his disapproval of a rap song created by Michael and his crew, he’s labeled as out of touch. To prove he hasn’t lost his connection to the streets, he takes Michael to the neighborhood. Meanwhile, Zaria is frustrated to find out that Nicholas and Cece are eavesdropping on her calls, prompting her to ask for her own phone line. Jerri, however, insists that Zaria must do chores in return for it. In another subplot, Wendell struggles significantly on his first day as a substitute teacher.
