Ron hands Dwayne an illicit copy of a fresh rap album, which he eagerly broadcasts. However, the dean swiftly halts Dwayne's show due to the explicit lyrics in one track. In response, Dwayne and fellow students stage a sit-in at the administration office to fight back against the censorship of student programming. Whitley finds herself stuck inside with the protesters, driving everyone up the wall. After hearing the entire album, Dwayne realizes he should have vetted the material before airing it. Ultimately, while the dean refrains from punishing the demonstrators, she suspends Dwayne from broadcasting for a month, allowing him to host a special tribute for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday.
