In this week’s Quickfire Challenge, the chefs must whip up a savory dish that draws inspiration from a favorite sweet treat. After that, they visit PuckerButt Farms for an exciting pepper tasting led by Ed Currie, the creator of the spiciest pepper in the world. For the Elimination Challenge, the chefs are divided into two teams and tasked with crafting a menu that gradually increases in heat. Joining Kristen, Tom, and Gail at the judges’ table is Mei Lin, the champion of “Top Chef” season 12.
