From afar, Teruhi and Harari attempt to strike him with their arrows but miss. As Jinzabur? and Abiru's team prepare to retreat, they are caught off guard when Chinese soldiers in the Mongol ranks fatally shoot Abiru with a shintenrai. Meanwhile, Goryeo warriors from Sasu advance from the west. Jinzabur? hopes the two armies will be disoriented in the dimming light.
