Nell is infuriated when she hears a strange squeaking noise coming from Joey and Matthew's room. Upon investigating, she discovers they are caring for Joey's class hamster, Harry, who is likely destined for testing on human products. Determined to make a difference, Nell and Addy decide to start a fund to end animal testing. Late at night, in an attempt to quiet Harry's cage, Nell unknowingly uses rancid salad oil. When she brings home another hamster for Joey, she’s shocked to find it’s a female that has just given birth to six babies, leading Joey to change his opinion about her after learning she inadvertently caused Harry's death.
