The media swarm invades the personal lives of the astronauts. Shepard and Gordo struggle with the attention, while Glenn flourishes in it. Glenn manages to strike a lucrative agreement with Life Magazine, ensuring exclusive coverage of all seven astronauts in exchange for significant rewards. Upon reaching Florida to start their new assignments, Shepard begins to recognize the influence and leverage they possess.
