When Sandra encounters Brenda's math teacher at the Jenkins' apartment, they start dating, but he quickly becomes more invested than she does. Later, Sandra shows up at the Jenkins' with her wealthy new boyfriend while Mitchell is there. In an effort to win Sandra back, Mitchell splurges on extravagant dates, trying to impress her. During a night out at the Piano Bar, he reveals his plans to transition into a computer executive role for a higher salary. Mary speaks to Sandra, pointing out that Mitchell genuinely loves teaching and is only considering this change for her. The episode wraps up with Sandra sharing the exciting news of their engagement.
