The discovery of a pilot's lifeless body in her trailer leaves the police baffled. However, Lt. Joe Kenda uncovers a shocking link between the deceased and her assailant. Shortly after, Kenda is summoned to investigate a gruesome shooting, where he is devastated to learn that the victim is a long-time family acquaintance.
