Tsunade grows suspicious of Danzou and decides to launch an investigation into his activities. Meanwhile, Team Kakashi, along with Chiriku and Sora, notice the coffins mysteriously moving but are unable to stop them. The coffins arrive on a cliff, where the enemy leader commands his ninjas to confront their adversaries. They transform the landscape into a treacherous labyrinth of rocky canyons and pits filled with lethal traps. As the team members find themselves separated, they face off against the enemy. Yamato theorizes that the ninjas might have orchestrated the coffin theft to target someone from his team.
