After Joey Emerson strikes it big with a substantial bet on a horse race, his bookmaker, Mickey, finds himself unable to settle the debt in cash. Instead, Mickey presents Joey with the contract for an amateur singing group called The Fly Guys. Joey's brother, Roc, believes Joey should insist on the cash, but Joey persuades Roc to take on the role of the group's new manager. Rather than hiring a professional choreographer as Joey recommends, Roc opts to cut costs by teaching the guys dance moves he learned from his own vocal group back in the 1960s.
