In an impressive display of creativity and resourcefulness, Norm decides to craft his own beautiful shutters in the workshop. True to form, he begins by constructing a series of jigs essential for drilling holes, setting staples, and mortising hinges. After shaping the basswood slats and mounting them on a control rod, he encloses the assembly in a poplar frame that he spray-paints. The finished interior shutters not only look fantastic but function smoothly when installed in the room he has been renovating.
