Chicken Tikka Masala (S02E01)

In the opening episode, Heston focused on the iconic Chicken tikka masala. His journey began at a local curry house in Cookham, Berkshire, but quickly expanded to Delhi as he sought to uncover the dish's intricate origins. Upon his return to Bray, Heston attempted to construct his own tandoor, only to find that digging a five-foot hole and lining it with fire bricks was a bit impractical for most. To simplify things, he opted for a modified barbecue instead. In Cambridge, Heston also scanned a chicken breast using MRI technology to study how marinades impact the meat while he worked on perfecting his sauce.
