Title: The Inheritors Plot: As musician Jacob Hardy (Nicholas Lea) enjoys a walk with his fiancée Kara Delaney (Stacy Grant), a meteor suddenly detonates above the city. Amid the chaos, one of the small fiery fragments appears to target Jacob, fatally injuring him as it pierces his skull. In the aftermath, Medical Examiner Dr. Ian Michaels (Tom Irwin) performs the autopsy with his assistant, Ollie Gibb (Don MacKay), and discovers a mysterious bullet-shaped object embedded in Jacob's brain.
