Mona Bailey (Jane Adams) resides with her husband Ned (Peter Outerbridge) in the Clackson Arms, an aging apartment complex slowly being acquired by an enigmatic developer known as KM Inc. Mona, a hypochondriac, is an able-bodied woman who uses a wheelchair and clings to the Physician's Desk Reference as if it were sacred. For the past six months, she has stayed inside, terrified of contracting an illness. One day, while maneuvering her wheelchair, she accidentally collides with an electrical box and receives a jolt, causing her to hear eerie voices and witness bodies falling from windows...
