In return, Chase demands that Richard abandon his winery project to secure his support. Meanwhile, Lance and his date Brenda find themselves caught in a compromising situation at Angela's annual Founder's Day Party, which leads to Angela's fury upon discovering them. At the event, Richard and Melissa reveal their feelings for one another, and Richard boldly announces he has located Jacqueline, prompting Angela to publicly criticize her for destroying her marriage to Douglas.
