In the early morning at the Gioberti residence, Chase is busy tidying up the garage when Vickie brings him a coffee and encourages him to reach out to Maggie. However, Chase adamantly declines, feeling hurt by Maggie's abandonment. Cole later visits and offers his support, suggesting that Chase could step back from the investigation if he wishes, but Chase remains determined to continue. Meanwhile, Julia meets Maggie for tea at the Tuscany Inn, urging her to reconsider her choice and return to Chase. At the jogging track, Vickie confronts Nick over his connections with Richard Channing. Back at Falcon Crest, Chase confronts Angie about her hiring of Bitterman. As he storms out, Julia offers to assist with his investigation into Carlo's murder, which he reluctantly accepts due to an injunction against him, all while Angie secretly listens in.
