Bailey intervenes just in time to rescue Callie from a potential assault, leaving Callie shaken and hesitant to leave her home. Sarah, determined to support her, ponders the reason behind Callie's limited circle of female friends. Meanwhile, Charlie is looking out for Grace, concerned for her safety in her risky neighborhood. When Grace tries to kiss him, he gently declines, mentioning his relationship with Kristen. After Sam is let go for neglecting the roof, Julia uses her own funds to bring him back, but he soon uncovers her deception and they share a kiss. Claudia receives an offer to write a column for the school paper, and she begins to sense that something is troubling Bailey. Callie confesses her desire for someone like him.
