Bailey struggles academically and finds himself overwhelmed. When Callie hosts a large party at their apartment, the landlord threatens eviction. Bailey attempts to maintain his sobriety, but it's a challenge, and he ultimately decides to drop out of school. Meanwhile, Charlie is hesitant to rush his relationship with Grace, but their efforts to take things slow only intensify their attraction, leading them to sleep together. Julia receives an acceptance letter from Stanford but contemplates taking a break from her studies to explore her identity. Charlie blames Sam for the situation. Ross is dating one of Claudia's teachers, and when Claudia reveals this to the school, she tries to make amends, but Ross insists it's more complicated than that.
