Mr. Rock takes on the task of leading an assembly focused on marine life, much to Adolf's dismay, as he had his heart set on it. In a twist, Rock pairs Hank with Anya, who reveals they are no longer together, surprising Hank since he was unaware of their relationship. Determined to win Anya back, Hank follows Frankie's misguided advice to act aloof, which only causes Anya to show interest in McKelty instead. During the assembly, Hank heroically saves Anya from a falling prop, mending their relationship, but she delivers unexpected news. Meanwhile, Emily finds herself inexplicably smitten with a boy sporting a floppy fringe and sparkling eyes, prompting her to seek a scientific rationale for her feelings.
