Mary is helming the church’s rendition of "The Wiz," but her cast is proving to be quite challenging. At the same time, the Jenkins family is hosting a college student for a year. Their surprise grows when 11-year-old Alexandria arrives, quickly grating on everyone’s nerves with her overly confident demeanor. Alexandria confides in Mary, expressing her desire for acceptance and feeling that no one likes her. Mary advises her to simply be herself, even if that means embracing her youthful side.
