Hate Thy Neighbor (S05E23)
Thelma's nemesis and next-door neighbor, Fred Gebhart, blows leaves back into her yard, igniting a heated argument that Iola has to intervene to stop. Afterward, Iola makes Bubba clean up the mess, where he unexpectedly meets Fred's granddaughter, Terri, who has just moved to Raytown. They feel an instant connection. After just two dates, Bubba and Terri announce their plans to marry, prompting both Fred and Thelma to demand they break things off. Vint and Naomi are thrilled, and Iola can't get enough of the gossip until Thelma reaches her breaking point. When Fred pays a visit, they realize that since their families will be intertwined, it's time to put their feud behind them. They discover that the conflict stemmed from their spouses, not them, and ultimately decide to bury the hatchet.
