Big Jimmy and Kitty return to Los Angeles, where Greg and Kim discover that Grammy's house sits right between two restaurants. Despite numerous offers, she had steadfastly refused to sell during her lifetime. Now that she’s passed, Big Jimmy is equally determined not to let it go, even as Kitty expresses a desire to move to a retirement community. Big Jimmy proposes that his son and family relocate from the guest house to Grammy's home, but Jimmy feels guilty about declining, knowing his father seldom reaches out. Jimmy soon learns that Grammy left the house to him, not Big Jimmy, who’s been living there rent-free and fears losing it.
