With her doctor advising a week of bedrest, Kim faces a dilemma when her babysitter cancels. Christine steps in, suggesting Jimmy take over the babysitting duties. As both Greg and Christine need to shop for essentials for Kim and Jimmy, Jimmy proposes they go together, despite their reluctance. Surprisingly, their outing at the grocery store turns enjoyable, allowing Greg to sneak in the bread Kim forbids. They finish with coffee, while Jimmy opts out. Meanwhile, Kim and Jimmy’s less-than-stellar time together sparks jealousy when they learn about their spouses' fun plans. Upon returning from a second outing, Greg and Christine find Jimmy giving Kim a back rub, leading to a competitive game of pretend friendship that spirals out of control during a chaotic Scrabble match.
