Kitty and Matt are en route to St. Louis when Matt receives an urgent business call, forcing him to return home. Frustrated by his departure, Kitty decides to continue her journey alone. On her way, she encounters a charismatic gunslinger who ultimately saves her life. Grateful, she invites him back to Dodge, where he begins to pursue her romantically. Faced with a tough choice, Kitty must decide whether to end her long-standing relationship with Matt, which has lasted 18 years, or embrace the new possibilities with Stambridge.
