After resigning from his law firm, Will embarks on a writing career that soon attracts Malcolm, who boasts influential connections. However, when Will’s writing venture doesn’t pan out, Malcolm presents him with a different job opportunity. Meanwhile, Grace is surprised by the return of Tom, an old college romance, who requests her help in designing a hotel he and his wife recently purchased, reigniting old feelings between them. Jack faces challenges producing his latest show for OutTV, as the entitled child star Randall struggles to meet Jack's creative expectations. Additionally, Karen must publicly apologize to Beverly due to a damaging rumor that could lead to legal trouble.
