Meanwhile, Bayliss is tasked with looking into the suspicious death of Gordon Pratt but struggles to get any help from his colleagues. Beau is eager to rejoin the force. In an unexpected turn, a woman recognizes Munch from an old photo showcased in a nearby art gallery, revealing an embarrassing image of him in the nude shot by an ex-girlfriend. Pembleton and Meldrick investigate a woman shot in a random act of violence, but they argue over the shooting's origin. They also discover a woman who has killed her boyfriend and hidden his body in a freezer. Beau joins Gee for an investigation, confronting his discomfort with dead bodies.
