After the murder of her mentor Rebecca, Amanda is resolute in seeking revenge, even if it means facing the powerful Immortal Luther and risking her own life. She seeks out Mac for one last adventure before what she fears may be her final moments. Upon learning that Amanda intends to confront Luther, Mac decides to step in, believing he stands a better chance against their enemy. Together, they uncover Luther's plan to collect fragments of an ancient crystal that Rebecca had scattered among her students, convinced that reassembling it will grant him invincibility and solidify his status as the Last Immortal. In the climactic showdown, both Amanda and MacLeod find themselves battling the ascetic Luther.
