Greg Powers, another Immortal, invites MacLeod to his photography exhibition. Once there, MacLeod is unsettled by the violent themes in Greg's artwork, but what troubles him more is Greg's transformation into a jaded cynic. While examining the photographs, MacLeod stumbles upon an image of himself from fifty years earlier, which brings back memories of his past with a young photographer named Linda Plager. Now 73, Linda unexpectedly recognizes Duncan as her former mentor and lover, leaving her nurse convinced she’s losing her mind. As MacLeod learns of Linda’s terminal condition, he yearns to share the truth with her. Meanwhile, Greg influences Richie into embracing a reckless lifestyle, pushing him towards a perilous motorcycle stunt. Following a confrontation with MacLeod, Greg, overwhelmed by his emotional detachment from immortality, lashes out at Richie.
