As the new school year kicks off, Stephanie, now in 2nd grade, finds herself the last Tanner at her school, anticipating a rough day. Surprisingly, her day goes much better than expected. Meanwhile, 12-year-old D.J. is stepping into 7th grade, inching closer to her teenage years. Unfortunately, her first day is marred by embarrassment at the hands of bullies Colleen and Susan. The next morning, convinced that makeup is the key to fitting in with her peers, D.J. applies a heavy layer of it, despite Danny's concerns. He enlists Becky to help tone it down. Meanwhile, Joey attempts to teach Jesse the ins and outs of golf in hopes of impressing a client who enjoys the sport.
