With just two weeks left until that deadline, Danny surprises Joey with an opportunity to showcase his talent on Star Search, hosted by Ed McMahon. Joey competes against the reigning champion, Steve Oedekerk, who ultimately retains his title, leaving Joey disheartened for not meeting his self-imposed deadline. However, Michelle steps in to boost his spirits and remind him of his worth.
