In the season opener, host Eden Grinshpan and head judge Mark McEwan greet 11 talented chefs, each a symbol of the evolving Canadian culinary landscape, as they vie for the title of Canada’s Top Chef. The competition kicks off with an unprecedented high-stakes QuickFire challenge, where a single dish could change a competitor's fate for the entire season. Following that, the Elimination Challenge prompts the chefs to draw inspiration from cherished family recipes, transforming them into dishes worthy of Top Chef acclaim. During the season's first tasting, Eden and Chef McEwan are joined by resident judges Chris Nuttall-Smith, Mijune Pak, and Janet Zuccarini.
