The Ring (S02E21)

S02E21

While reviewing their homeowners' insurance, Greg asks Kim to retrieve the appraisal for her engagement ring, believing she'll be impressed with its origin and cost. Initially, she is, but her excitement quickly turns to disgust when she discovers that Greg purchased it two years prior to meeting her. He confesses it was meant for another woman, but he never proposed after catching her with his roommate. Kim deems the ring tainted and returns it. In an effort to make things right, Greg surprises her with an identical ring, but Kim is offended by the reminder of the past and rejects it. After two failed attempts, Greg finally creates a custom ring for her.
