As Greg and Kim prepare for their Thanksgiving trip to visit Greg's family, Jimmy decides to host his parents at the Warner residence. However, Christine is adamant about not having his father over, citing his constant criticism of Jimmy. Believing he can win his dad's approval with his new job and family, Jimmy is determined. When Big Jimmy and Kitty show up, they come with Aunt Betty, Grammy, and cousin Neil, who has a criminal past. Despite Jimmy's achievements, his father continues to belittle him. Meanwhile, a snowstorm forces Greg and Kim to return home, but Greg is completely unprepared for the surprise that awaits him when he discovers Grammy in his bed, leading to chaos and misunderstandings that unfold throughout the night.
