At the hotel, Gladys Knockleheimer and Bernie McKenzie celebrate their wedding reception, marking the fifth wedding among Billie Jo's friends. While Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo are thrilled about the prospect of marriage, Betty Jo feels differently. When she unexpectedly catches Gladys' bouquet, she panics at the thought of being next in line for a wedding. Sensing her unease, Kate decides to have a heart-to-heart with Betty Jo. Misunderstanding her mother's guidance, Betty Jo begins proposing to various boys. Soon after, she gets gifts from a mystery admirer, only for Kate to find out that Betty Jo had been sending them to herself to avoid looking unappealing in love.
