The Every Other Wednesday Afternoon Discussion Club, now with Lisa Douglas as a new addition, decides to organize a square dance to raise funds for the local high school. Meanwhile, the Bradley sisters aim to persuade the famous rock star King Ring a Ding to headline the event. Unexpectedly, Herbie Willits, a former Hooterville resident and singer encouraged by Kate, arrives at the hotel. Unbeknownst to the girls, Herbie is actually King Ring a Ding. When he learns ticket sales are stagnant due to his star status, he devises a scheme, while Uncle Joe concocts his own plan, nearly jeopardizing the benefit.
