Frustrated, she begins to pester the detectives and even organizes a picket line to express her grievances. Malloy uncovers a link between her theft and a series of purse snatchings tied to social security checks, leading to a decoy operation that ultimately dismantles the theft ring. The investigation involves two dubious men and a chase with them, along with a homicide where candy wrappers and tire tracks from the suspects are discovered.
